American Singer-songwriter and national recording artist CoCo Wade was born in New Orleans and currently resides in Atlanta, GA. A seasoned talent whose music encompasses R&B, contemporary blues, soul blues and as of late, southern soul. As a self-taught percussionist, CoCo began playing the primary drum set for churches and musicals where she nurtured her natural talent, as a teen musician/singer amongst the gospel circuit. Embraced by comedian Rickey Smile in Atlanta amid his renowned Karaoke Night at City Winery, CoCo Wade wowed the crowd in a sold out show. Taking center stage during an impromptu moment, while performing her '2024 hit single "I Got My Hands Up" the talent catered to an electrifying group of party-goers as Rickey Smiley insisted on a re-run of CoCo Wade's act in real-time. Spectators refused to be seated as they demanded time to learn the dance savvy choreography created by the singer-songwriter.
Apollo Theater in New York set the stage for CoCo Wade’s most recent accolade. The talent ignited the discerning audience while preforming “I’m Going Down,” by Mary J. Blige. A full-on sing-along conquered the room as crowd-goers joined in and applauded the talent. CoCo left it all on the stage after dropping to the floor in a finale stance which triggered even more excitement from world travelers in attendance.
